One of the traditions here at SailCat's place, started 'way back when, is lots of free software, sorted and tested in an effort to nail the 'best of the best.' No two applications serve the same purpose. Go to those list sites for that.  This is a 'best of' list, with each application tested and chosen by the SailCat personally. 

Along the way, some folks have disagreed with these selections. This is welcomed 'cause often, they're right, making the selection even better!

Why freeware at a graphics site? It started as a hobby, then, like most obsessions, just got out of hand. But that's cool 'cause I can share my obsession with you! 

As of publication, the categorized freeware programs are really just that, free. There's no nags, ads, spyware or time limits. That said, this is the Internet, after all, there are hundreds of proggies listed and things can change pretty fast. If you discover something's amiss, Email the 'Cat.
